Brighton and Hove Albion have had some incredible moments in the Premier League over the years, but the 2022-2023 season has been the best yet. Here are some of their best moments from across the season:

1. Potter’s Return

One of the most memorable moments of the season was the win against Chelsea at home. This game was particularly special because it was the first time that Brighton faced their former manager, Graham Potter, who had left the club to manage Chelsea. Despite being the underdogs, Brighton put in a fantastic performance and secured a 4-1 victory over their former boss.

Potter took 6 Brighton coaches, staff and players with him to Stamford Bridge, angering many fans. But The Seagull’s dominated the game from the first whistle, leaving Potter looking “a bit of a fool”.

2. Mac Allister’s Pen

Another unforgettable moment from the season was when Brighton faced Manchester United at home. The game was tied at 0-0 going into injury time, but Brighton was awarded a penalty in the 99th minute. Up stepped Alexis Mac Allister, who calmly slotted the ball into the back of the net to secure a dramatic 1-0 win for the Seagulls. Fans saw the win as revenge for the penalty heartache which knocked them out of the FA cup.

3. Securing Europe

Perhaps the most historic moment of the season was when Brighton faced Southampton at home. Roberto De Zerbi’s men headed into the game knowing a win would secure European football for the first time in the club’s history, and the Seagulls did not disappoint. They put in a dominant performance and secured a 3-1 victory over The Saints, much to the delight of fans. This win not only secured European football for the club but also marked a significant milestone in their history.
