Albion rounded off their pre-season yesterday with a 1-1 draw against La Liga side Rayo Vallecano at the Amex.
With three games in the Premier League Summer Series against Chelsea, Brentford and Newcastle plus the match against a Spanish top-flight side to round things off I have taken a look at the four players who impressed:
Mahmoud Dahoud
The German midfielder who joined in June has caught the eye with his displays during pre-season. His willingness to want to get on the ball and when he gets on the ball his focus to try and move the ball forward or drive forward has been impressive.
I imagine Dahoud will be the player to start alongside Moises Caicedo in the middle of the park, with Alexis Mac Allister leaving in the summer to join Liverpool.
Danny Welbeck
The experienced striker has started three of the Seagulls four pre-season matches and opened the scoring in the defeats to Chelsea and Newcastle.
The 32-year-old was unlucky he did not add to his tally yesterday having hit the post twice against against Rayo Vallecano.
Welbeck has looked sharp and has thrived off the increasing competition for a place up top in club-record signing Joao Pedro and star striker Evan Ferguson . He will be hoping he has done enough to give Roberto De Zerbi a selection headache for their opening Premier League game against Luton on Saturday.
Joao Pedro
The young Brazilian has made an impressive start to his Albion career starting in three of the pre-season matches and scoring twice both from the penalty spot.
Pedro has played a number of roles as a lone striker, playing as a front two and also as a number ten.
But given he comes in as the club-record signing he has not let the price tag phase him.
Simon Adingra
The winger has dazzled with displays. His only start came in the 2-0 win over Brentford where he scored a brace.
Adingra has shown his explosive pace and skill which has got Albion fans excited by what he can add to the side this season.
