Albion continued their fine start to their seventh Premier League season by making it back-to-back 4-1 wins this time at Wolves.

An excellent solo effort from Kaoru Mitoma in the first half gave the Seagulls a lead going into the break. A minute into the second half Pervis Estupinan doubled their lead. Then a four minute brace from Solly March saw Albion 4-0 up with only ten minutes gone of the second half.

Wolves pulled a goal in the 61st minute through substitute Hwang. However, the hosts finished with ten men after Matheus Nunes was shown a second yellow in stoppage time.

It’s the perfect start to the season for Roberto De Zerbi’s men who sit top of the table with six points and are currently just one of two teams in the Prem with Manchester City to have a 100% record.

The Seagulls have also become just the sixth team to score four or more goals in the opening two games of a Premier League season since the 2002/03 season.

The four goals at Molineux, means Albion have now scored 85 goals in 41 games in all competitions under De Zerbi at an average of 2.07 goals a game.

Despite the impressive start to the campaign De Zerbi believes his squad have not ‘reached their potential’.

With that statement I’m excited to see what a Brighton side at their full potential under De Zerbi will achieve.

In terms of my man of the match there were so many contenders but I’m going to give to Julio Enciso. The Paraguayan started ahead of club-record signing Joao Pedro despite the Brazilian scoring and starring in the open day win over Luton.

However, Enciso has given De Zerbi a massive selection headache with his performance. His creativity and vision was outstanding to lay two goals on a plate for March. Also his work rate was faultless in and out of possession.

De Zerbi even stated that Enciso was the ‘best player on the pitch’.

Albion will now host West Ham at home next weekend where they will hope to continue their fine start to the campaign.
